Self-care has been a hot topic for some time now and I am excited about it.

I am excited that women are beginning to see the benefits of caring for themselves in a way that makes them better women, better mothers, better wives, and better friends. It took some time for me to embrace this concept- and now that I have, my entire life is better because of it.

I engage in self-care in many ways, and caring for my mind, body, and spirit requires attention to my overall health and wellness, starting with my daily routine.

Oxytocin is the “feel good” hormone we all experience when we’re happy. I don’t know about you but being with my girls is my happy place. We talk, laugh, plan, and reminisce, which gives me total life until we meet up again.  

Splurge on a cute pair of pajamas. Pajamas are my secret to relaxing. Whenever I am busy but need some down time, I put on a pair of my favorite pajamas which triggers me to take it down. The cuter they are the more likely I am to put them on, so that’s why I say splurge on a nice luxurious pair. 

Stock up on as many grab-and-go options as you can. Having as many things on hand that you can grab while on the go takes the stress out of caring for yourself and your family.
