As moms know all too well, #momlife can leave you ‘feeling all the feels’ (the good and the bad). That’s why even fleeting solo moments can make a huge difference. Taking time to relax and focus on myself helps me be a better mom to Kensie and a better wife to Sean.
Last weekend, I had some extra time and my mood called for a bit of pampering and maybe a pretty drink (or two). So I headed to Her Majesty’s Pleasure for a mani+pedi and lucky for me there was an attendant serving the cutest rose coloured drinks while ladies in the spa were getting pampered from head to toe. At this stage in my life, getting in some alone time is a triumph in and of itself but during my solo pampering session I was able to reflect on other wonderful moments and little triumphs that I’ve experienced since being blessed with my little girl;
Seeing Her Smile
I know that every mom says it, but I think I have the happiest baby ever. No really, I do! Kensington literally wakes up every morning with the biggest smile on her face and she has been like that since the day she was born. And when Sean enters the room it’s a wrap. She’s overwhelmed with joy and it is the cutest thing to witness. As I was sitting back and reflecting on the past few months, I was just in awe at how much she’s developed and feel so grateful that Sean and I were chosen to be her parents.
Back to Blogging
Many of you know me from my event throwing and blogging past. I left that world behind for a career in media and to focus on starting a family. Not in a million years did I ever think that I’d be back to blogging, much less starting a blog from scratch with a two month old in tow. The truth is, having some time home on mat leave allowed me to reflect on things in my life that made me happy and I realized that I missed being apart of a community of inspiring women and blogging has allowed me to reconnect with so many of you. I’m meeting and learning from new ladies everyday and it has been such an enlightening and rewarding experience.
My style has evolved so much over the years and as you can see from my style posts, it continues to evolve to this day. I’ve come to realize that timeless pieces paired with a few trendy items is my sweet spot. That’s why PANDORA Jewelry’s Autumn 2017 collection spoke to me. I’ve been trying to wear more long lasting keepsake jewelry to complement my rose gold wedding band and white gold engagement ring. Their new collection references several trends this season including mixed metals and geometric shapes. But more importantly, many of the pieces have meaning, much like the rose gold snake chain bracelet that I own from their Essence Collection adorned with a mix of silver and gold charms representing confidence and happiness. I also love a great arm party so I added their Silver Mesh bracelet and their Signature Open Bangle adorned with Silver Pavé Open Bangle End Caps. The bracelets look fabulous when stacked! When it came to rings, my motto is the more the merrier, so I’ve been wearing their Radiant Teardrop and Teardrop Silhouette rings in silver, paired with their Stacked Double Hearts rings (also in silver), their Halo ring in rose gold and the Radiant Elegance ring in yellow gold. I love how the medley of shapes, textures and colours come together. Do you like how I styled these pieces?
Do See the Wonderful
It was great to reflect on these special moments and personal triumphs. The time to myself was like food for my soul. What are some personal triumphs that you’ve experienced (big or small)? To celebrate the launch of their Autumn collection ‘’Do See The Wonderful’’ PANDORA Jewellery is calling on all women to capture precious everyday wonderful moments and share them using the hashtag #DoSeeTheWonderful and tagging @theofficialpandora.
