When I was pregnant with Kensie, Sean and I attended a beautiful outdoor wedding in Woodstock, Ontario, and not realizing that we would be standing in the grass for most of the ceremony, I only packed heels. Woodstock is a gorgeous town with lots of cute little shops and stores, but fortunately for us, Woodstock also has a Walmart. We headed to the local Walmart just before the ceremony and as Sean was picking out a congratulations card for the bride and groom, I headed to the Women’s George section so that I could pick out a pair of flats.
To my pleasant surprise, I found a fabulous pair for less than $20 and I still wear them to this day. So when Walmart asked me to select Fall looks for Sean and I and that I could share them with you guys, I was (obviously) super excited.
When it starts to get cold, a warm and cozy sweater with boots is one of my go-to looks. Now that I’m a mom, I don’t have time to shop around like I used to, so Walmart has proven to be the perfect one-stop shop for my household (and) fashion needs. After picking up a few things for the fam I popped over to Walmart’s George section and was instantly drawn to this gorgeous Marilyn Sweater in dusty mauve. I’ve always loved the look of an off –the-shoulder sweater (hello, clavicles!) but what I don’t like is that sometimes those sweaters are upwards of $100 or even $200. After seeing that the Marilyn was under $25, I was sold!
I paired it with these Floral Knit Jeggings (for under $15) and these cute Eliza Boots (also a steal, for under $35). I went up a size because I prefer a loose fit, but the sweater is just as cozy and as plush as it looks. The boots were also quite warm (in addition to being cute). In fact, while we were snapping photos of these looks, people in my neighbourhood kept complimenting my outfit (including people driving by). Who knew that Walmart’s George collection would be a traffic stopper!
In addition to my head-to-toe outfit, I found a Shawl Collar Cardigan for Sean for just under $25 as well. Sean looooooves his cardigan and trust me, he is not the easiest to shop for. I’ve included photos of our finds below. Can you tell that I was cracking jokes while were taking photos? And how handsome does he look in his outfit!?
All of our George finds combined came to less than $100, so the next time you are at Walmart, it’ll be worth your while to check out the George section. You can thank me later.
