There’s something about metallics – you either love ‘em or loathe ‘em. I go back and forth, but lately, I’ve found myself totally digging them…again!
When it comes to metallics, I’m all in or not at all, but that’s just me. And since I’m in an ‘all in’ metallic phase, my inner-OCD has gone into overdrive. Two metallic turbans (one silver and one gold), block heel pumps with metallic detailing, metallic Birkenstocks, metallic booties, and a fabulous metallic pleated skirt courtesy of Zara (pictured above) are just a few of the shimmery items I’ve copped online.
Anyone who knows me, knows that when I love a trend, I go for it, which is why it’s no surprise that the above mentioned metallic goodies have been in constant rotation in my wardrobe, so much so, my husband felt the need to intervene, telling me he thinks its time to retire the turbans (at the very least).
Will I take his advice?
I haven’t quite decided as yet, but I can tell you now, the metallic pleated skirt is going nowhere. Why would I get rid of it when it goes with absolutely everything and anything? Hell to the nahhh *Sheree voice*
I’ve worn it to death, and I’ve definitely got my money’s worth (Zara, you can thank me later for the plug!). On Mother’s Day, I rocked it with an equally cool graphic tee. A few days later, it made another appearance at an event I attended; this time paired with my Aaliyah concert tee, So Kate pumps and a moto jacket. I wasn’t the only one who thought it looked amazing – I got tonnes of compliments!
