If you know me and have been following along with me on social media for the past few years, you will know how much I love Etsy.  I discovered Etsy about 7 years ago when I was planning my wedding to Sean and bought about 70% of our wedding decor from the site and since then, Etsy has been involved in most of our family milestones and sentimental purchases. Etsy has everything from fabulous fashion to home decor and accessories to digital resources that have been a lifesaver for me as an Entrepreneur and Business owner. The thing that I love the most is it is like shopping at a market, from real people that care and create your product or render your service with love – but its online!

I try to always consider Etsy when I’m looking for a gift or a one of a kind piece and over the last few weeks I’ve found several pieces that I love and that I think that you will love too.

Linen Wrap Jumpsuit by Ms Wrinkle I love a great jumpsuit as evidenced by the myriad jumpsuits you’ve seen me wear over the years.  This yellow number elevates my mood and I’m a busty girl, so the kimono sleeves and wrap top portion compliments my bigger chest.  Because I buy a lot of jewelry, trinkets and home goods on Etsy, sometimes I forget about their fashion pieces.

Gold Jewelry – Since I got married and started wearing my wedding band and engagement ring every day, I started paying more attention to the jewelry that I wear on my hands.  Costume jewelry will always be fun and something that I will buy but there is nothing like having quality pieces that I can keep forever and potentially pass on to Kensington.  I bought three pieces of jewelry made of precious metal from 2 different Etsy shops and I’ve described them below:

Coffee Been and Jamaican Ackee Coin necklaces from Omi Woods – Omi Woods jewelry are contemporary heirlooms that celebrate our connections to Africa and her diaspora. Their jewelry is individually and ethically handmade with fair-trade African gold and globally sourced conflict-free fine metals. When I came across this Etsy shop I immediately fell in love. Not only is it black owned, it celebrates my Jamaican Heritage.  Something that I don’t see often from contemporary designers.  I got the Jamaican Ackee coin necklace pendant with an 18 inch chain and the Cofee bean necklace with a 16 inch chain so that I can stack them.  I love the way that they look!

Omg Woods Jewelry

Solid Gold rope knot ring by Mary John – This piece perfectly captures everything that I look for in a ring.  Simple, unique and elegant.

BiColor Earrings by Kaju Creations – I’ve been rocking short hair for a minute now and one thing that I’ve noticed is that with short hair, sometimes you need to add a pop of life and colour to your look by way of a great statement earring.

Vintage Tray – by Jobobos Treasures – Not sure if you knew this, but Etsy is also the vintage find MVP. I found this vintage tray from an a seller that specializes in vintage finds.  I think I may display my new jewelry on it!

Virtual Zoom Background Kit by Urban Indigo – Another thing that Etsy comes in clutch for is business resources.  I’ve purchased media kit templates, several resume templates and logo design services on here.  My latest digital purchase is a zoom background.  YES! A zoom background.  If you are doing zoom calls back to back and you want to switch up the scenery, this is a really cool option and the back ground looks REAL!

Now, in closing, all I have to say is please don’t sleep on Etsy. You will thank me later 🙂
